(Ocean Springs, MS) – Ocean Springs’ tourism entity, Ocean Springs Chamber of
Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau is celebrating National Travel and
Tourism week.


May 19-25 serves as National Travel & Tourism Week throughout the nation.
Helping to power the economy, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main
Street-Tourism Bureau will take part and showcase the amenities offered
throughout town by participating in day long informational booth at the Jackson
County Welcome Center on Friday, May 24.


“This is a great opportunity to market the city,” said Cynthia Sutton, President &
CEO of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce –Main Street – Tourism Bureau.
“And as always, we like to bring flavor to an event and do things a little more
creatively.”


Tasty samples from area restaurants, artwork from a variety of shops, giveaways,
and informational pieces will be part of the Chamber-Main Street booth.
Each year, Ocean Springs welcomes visitors from across the nation intrigued by
the quaint community, restaurants and colorful culture that makes up the city.
In 2023, Ocean Springs welcomed visitors from 49 states and 14 countries,
distributed more than 30,000 Visitor Guides, 40,000 Walking Maps and welcomed
more than 50 new businesses to the community.
