Christmas Parade Rolls Through Downtown Ocean Springs on December 7

(Ocean Springs, MS) – The Phil Quigley Discover Christmas Parade will roll in
Downtown Ocean Springs on Sunday, December 7, beginning at 2 p.m.
Spectators are invited to gather along the route for an afternoon of festive floats,
community spirit, and seasonal celebration.
The 2025 Grand Marshal is Cindy Quigley, the nonprofit organization’s Vice
President, member of the Elks Lodge, and wife of the late Phil Quigley, CoFounder of the Discover Christmas Parade.
In the spirit of giving, spectators are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy. Cub
Scouts will be stationed along the parade route to collect donations, which will
help local children in need this holiday season.
This annual event is made possible through the dedication of volunteers, board
members, the parade committee, and sponsors. Support from Mayor Bobby Cox,
the Board of Aldermen, the City of Ocean Springs departments, the Ocean
Springs Chamber of Commerce team, and Mr. Chic Cody is also essential to the
parade’s success.

Parade participants play a significant role in the toy drive, with an unwrapped toy
as the entry fee. Whether it’s a float with 30 riders, a golf cart with six, or a group
of 15 candy cane fairies, each entry contributes to providing toys for children on
Christmas morning. This tradition, started eight years ago, continues to grow with
each year.
Fighting Elves are preparing for the big day, and Ms. Martha May Whovier has
promised her Grinchy will behave—though others may be less predictable. Mr.
and Mrs. Claus will be among the attending and also scheduled to meet children
after the parade at OS Lumber, where free photos will be available.
