Ocean Springs Chamber-Main Street Invites Community to 2026 Peter Anderson Festival T-Shirt Artwork Unveiling & Meet the Artist Reception – First-Ever T-Shirt Artwork Competition
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (August 10, 2026) – For the first time in the nearly five-decade history of the Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival, the Anderson family has opened the festival’s official T-shirt artwork selection to artists through a public design competition. The winning artwork—chosen from entries submitted by talented artists—will be officially unveiled during a special Meet the Artist Reception on Tuesday, August 18, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Marcello’s Italian Restaurant in downtown Ocean Springs.
The inaugural competition marks a significant moment in the festival’s history, inviting artists to become part of the Peter Anderson Festival’s legacy while honoring the artistic tradition that Peter Anderson helped establish in Ocean Springs.
This year’s winning design is especially meaningful. More than simply creating artwork for a T-shirt, the artist captured a story of legacy that pays tribute to the Anderson family. The artwork reflects the festival’s rich history while celebrating its future, making this year’s design one of the most significant in the event’s 48-year history.
Guests attending the reception will be among the first to see the official 2026 Peter Anderson Festival T-shirt artwork, meet the winning artist, hear the inspiration behind the design, and celebrate this historic milestone alongside members of the Anderson family, Chamber-Main Street representatives, festival supporters, and fellow art enthusiasts. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The 48th Annual Peter Anderson Festival will take place November 7–8, 2026, in historic downtown Ocean Springs. Hosted by the Ocean Springs Chamber-Main Street, the nationally recognized arts festival welcomes approximately 100,000 visitors each year and features more than 400 artists and craftsmen from across the country.
Community members, media representatives, festival supporters, and art lovers are invited to attend this special unveiling and be among the first to experience the artwork that will represent the 2026 Peter Anderson Festival.
