(Ocean Springs, MS) – The community of Ocean Springs is starting off the New Year
with a full calendar of events that includes Mardi Gras parades, Spring Arts Festival,
Annual Taste of Ocean Springs, Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival, Silent Light
Festival, Breakfast with the Mayor networking events and much more.

To promote tourism and encourage visitors to Ocean Springs, enhance economic
impact and generate community activity, each year the Ocean Springs Chamber of
Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau gathers a list of the staple community
festivals and events for publication.

“From its unique shops, galleries, and restaurants to its beautiful outdoor amenities
and strong calendar of events, Ocean Springs is a tourist destination,” says Cynthia
Sutton, executive director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main StreetTourism Bureau. “These annual events aid in strengthening the economy and
sustainability of our local community.”

Below is a list of the annual community events planned for 2024.
January 27- Ocean Springs Elks Club Mardi Gras Parade at 1 p.m., downtown
January 27 – Ocean Springs Krewe Unique Mardi Gras Parade at 1:30 p.m., downtown
February 19 – Ocean Springs Night Parade at 7 p.m., downtown.
March 9 – Ocean Springs Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at Little Children’s Park
March 16 – St. Paddy’s Day Celebration from 10 a.m. – until (additional events leading
up to date)
March 23 & 24 – Spring Arts Festival from 9– 5 p.m. (Sat), 9-4 p.m. (Sun), downtown
March 23 – Battle on the Bayou Kayak event at Fort Bayou
April 26, May 31, June 28, July 26, Aug 30, Sept 27 – Friday at the Fort at 6 p.m., Fort
Maurepas Park
April 20– Bud & Burgers Competition from 5-8 p.m. at the L&N Depot Plaza New+
April 27 – Boilin’ on da Beach from 11-3 p.m. at Fort Maurepas
May 9 – Taste of Ocean Springs Food Crawl from 6-8 p.m., downtown

October 25 & 26 – Spooky Springs Halloween event at the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center

November 2 & 3 – Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival from 9-5 p.m. in downtown
December 5– Annual Tree Lighting with Santa from 6-8 pm at the Mary C.
December 6 &7 – Silent Light Festival at Walter Anderson Museum of Art at 6 p.m.
December 6 & 7 – Holiday Open House, downtown, uptown, all-around town from 10-5 p.m.
December 8 – Discover Christmas Parade at 2 p.m. in downtown
December 31 – New Year’s Eve – The Drop on Government at 8 p.m.

In addition to the annual events, the Ocean Springs Fresh Market sets up at the L&N Depot Plaza each
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine.
