(Ocean Springs, MS) – Ocean Springs businesses The Floor Trader and Murky
Waters BBQ have been named as the July businesses of the month by the
Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau. Business
of the month is a recognition awarded to businesses that demonstrated
leadership, community involvement, Chamber partnership, and impact on the
local economy, and the community at large.
Both businesses met the nominating criteria which include beautification of
the business façade with visible, clean, and clear signage, excellent customer
service, and demonstrating community participation and involvement as well
as being an active member of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce.
“Our businesses are vital partners to the success and growth of our
community in Ocean Springs,” says Cynthia Sutton, executive director of the
Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau. “These
hard-working individuals take pride in their business roles, community
involvement, and beautification adding to the wonderful quality of life for our
residents and travelers.”
The Floor Trader is located at 6217 Washington Avenue and Murky Waters
BBQ is located at 1312 Government Street. Businesses are awarded a
certificate of recognition, a business of the month yard sign, and other
marketing opportunities during the month.
Nominations may be made by any member of the community by submitting a
nomination form through the Ocean Springs Chamber. All requirements for
consideration are listed on the nomination form.
