Young at Art Invites Mississippi’s Young Creatives to Exhibit at Peter Anderson Festival
OCEAN SPRINGS, MS — September 14, 2026 — Have you ever dreamed of seeing your artwork displayed at a real art festival? Here’s your chance!
The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau and the Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) are inviting young artists ages 8–18 to apply for Young at Art, a special children’s market held during the 48th Annual Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival, November 7–8, 2026, in downtown Ocean Springs.
Young at Art gives aspiring artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell their own artwork alongside one of the largest and most celebrated arts festivals on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Young at Art market will be located on the grounds of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art, putting young artists right in the middle of a weekend dedicated to creativity, art and handmade work.
This is more than a chance to display artwork — it’s an opportunity for young artists to experience what it’s like to be an artist and entrepreneur. Participants can share their creativity with festival visitors, meet other artists and take the exciting first step toward turning their passion for art into a real-world experience.
If you love to draw, paint, create, build, design or make things with your hands, Young at Art is your chance to show Ocean Springs what you can do!
The Young at Art market will take place Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Applications are open now, and the deadline to apply is October 1, 2026.
