We Are Back On Our Feet

Hurricane Katrina destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses in Ocean Springs. Virtually all of the structures on our beach are gone. Luckily, though, our historic downtown and most of our business districts were spared any major damage. Because of this, Ocean Springs continued to generate the revenue to begin rebuilding and renewing quickly. Now, all of the city’s basic infrastructure has been repaired. Many citizens are beginning to return to their homes. Ocean Springs is even becoming a destination for many coast businesses wanting to relocate since the storm. While Hurricane Katrina dealt us a blow, she couldn’t keep us off our feet for long.
