First-Ever Artist Call Announced for Official Peter Anderson Festival T-Shirt Design
Ocean Springs, MS, — March 17, 2026 – For the first time in its history, the Peter Anderson Arts & Crafts Festival is inviting local and regional artists to submit original artwork for the festival’s official T-shirt design.
Hosted annually by the Ocean Springs Chamber–Main Street in downtown Ocean Springs, the nationally recognized arts festival welcomes more than 100,000 visitors each year and is known as the largest fine arts festival in Mississippi.
Opening the T-shirt design to artist submissions marks a new opportunity for creatives connected to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to become part of the festival’s long-standing visual tradition.
“We are excited to invite artists into this piece of the festival’s history,” said Cynthia Sutton, CEO of the Ocean Springs Chamber–Main Street. “The festival has a rich artistic heritage tied to the Anderson family and the creative spirit of Ocean Springs. This call allows artists to help tell that story while honoring the legacy that has defined the event for decades.”
Design Guidelines
Artists are invited to submit one original design that reflects the spirit of Ocean Springs and the legacy of the festival. Artwork should align with the historic aesthetic of past festival imagery.
Key requirements include:
•Designs must not include any text, numbers, or typography
•Artwork should reflect Ocean Springs’ arts culture, coastal environment, architecture, or community life
•Preferred styles include pen and ink, hand-drawn illustration, or artistic renderings inspired by the Anderson design tradition
•Artwork must be original and suitable for screen printing
•Submitted artwork should measure 18” x 24”
Eligibility
The call is open to local and regional artists with a connection to Ocean Springs or the Gulf Coast.
Deadline
Design submissions must be received no later than noon on May 1.
Submission Details
Artists must include their name, phone number, email address, and a brief bio on a separate sheet.
Submissions should be mailed or delivered to the Ocean Springs Chamber-Main Street
